Custom Mahjong Tiles, Built to Your Artwork

The tiles are the product. We customize them at the tile level — full-color printing, CNC engraving, custom materials, and your own mold — then assemble them into a complete 166-tile NMJL-compatible set with racks, pushers, case, and retail packaging.

Three routes to custom tiles

Launch Program — from 100 sets

Fully custom tile and case branding for first-time brands. A paid prototype is credited in full toward your first order, so the sample is not a sunk cost.

White Classic — from 50 sets per color

The 30mm soft-touch line with custom case colors and logo. The lightest-touch route to a branded product.

Full custom — from 500 sets

Your own mold and fully custom engraved artwork, at standard unit pricing. Custom tooling runs about $4,000 per mold with an 8–10 week lead time including fabrication.

Launch-run units carry a modest premium over the 500-set rate, then revert to standard pricing on reorders.

How the tile customization process runs

  1. NDA first, if you want one. We sign before any proprietary artwork changes hands — your artwork stays your exclusive property.
  2. Artwork review. Send vector AI/PDF or 300 DPI PNG. We check print coverage, material suitability, and tile layout.
  3. Digital proof. You approve a proof on screen before any tooling is cut — mistakes get caught here, where they are free.
  4. Prototype. A custom prototype takes 15–20 business days after artwork approval and deposit; the sample fee is credited to your first bulk order.
  5. Production. 25–30 days for 25–100 sets, 35–40 days for 250 sets, with 100% pre-shipment inspection.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order for custom mahjong tiles?

Fully custom engraved artwork with your own mold starts at 500 sets. First-time brands can run fully custom tile and case branding from 100 sets through our Launch Program, and the White Classic 30mm line supports custom case colors and logo from 50 sets per color.

How much does a custom tile mold cost?

Custom tooling starts at roughly $4,000 per mold, with a 500-set minimum order and an 8–10 week lead time including mold fabrication. If your artwork fits an existing mold, you skip that cost entirely.

Can I print full color instead of engraving?

Yes. Full-color custom printing is available on all three tile materials — acrylic, melamine, and resin. Engraving gives a premium, permanent finish; full-color print handles gradients, photographic artwork, and pastel palettes.

Which tile material should I choose?

Acrylic is vivid and premium with high-contrast engraving; melamine is the classic, budget-friendly option; resin is the heaviest and most durable. Our material comparison breaks down factory cost, weight, durability, and yellowing data for each.

What tile sizes are available?

Standard American tiles run about 1.2" wide. We also produce 30mm soft-touch tiles for the White Classic line, smaller travel tiles, and larger senior-friendly tiles with easy-read engraving.

How do I submit my artwork?

Send vector AI/PDF files, or high-resolution PNG at 300 DPI or above. Our in-house design team converts it into production-ready files and issues a digital proof before any tooling is cut. We sign an NDA on request first.
